So that I don't necessarily have to describe this in every thread. Notable features not shown in Hadassah's icons: ⧠dusting of white scales on her shoulders, collarbones, the edges of her cheeks, and the backs of her hands ⧠⧠slit pupils ⧠⧠eyeteeth that come to slender, slightly curved points ⧠⧠burn scarring on her legs, all the way up to just above the knee ⧠⧠voice: mezzo and a touch of a vaguely Middle Eastern accent ⧠|

Sticky: Aug. 17th, 2019 02:09 amFlowers of Heaven: Rules
Apr. 23rd, 2020 11:43 pmFlowers of Heaven is a variation on a war room-style game. Unlike standard war rooms, though, units do not vote to specifically target other units. Instead, each unit will choose certain personality traits to target (represented by flowers)âmeaning that it is also individuals, not units, who experience the immediate consequences.
The object of the game is for the unit to make it through the Garden with as much of their membersâ âessential selvesâ intact as possible. The game ends when either all three Garden Obstacles are cleared OR 12 out of 16 flowers have been destroyed, whichever happens first. Each Garden Obstacle requires the destruction of a minimum of 3 flowers.
(So somewhere between 9-12 flowers will burn, total.)
Characters can freely share information on their personal flowers with their own units, but will have to rely on educated guesses when it comes to what flowers members of other units may have.

Flowers of Heaven: Sign-Ups
Apr. 19th, 2020 08:43 pmSo you think you'd like to play in FLOWERS of HEAVEN!
In order to do that, you'll need to look at the list of flowers and their associated personality traits. You'll also most likely want to take a look at the flowers' associated status effects so that you can decide whether this whole thing looks like fun to you. Feel free to let the status effects inform your decision on which flowers to give your character, so long as the choices still make sense.
Each character will ultimately have exactly two flowers that represent them. They can be based on their âtrueâ/canon self, or who they are currently/in Imeeji; your preference.
To sign up for FLOWERS of HEAVEN, please give us 2-4 flowers that work for the character. It's just fine if ultimately only two seem to fit, but if you're flexible, that's handy to know!
Alternatively, ask for Dealer's Choice, and we'll use our own knowledge of the character to assign you some! We're very trustworthy.
Characters will know their own flowers by default, but not anyone elseâs, so all comments are screened.
The list of flowers is HERE.
â Flower meanings will be ICly provided during the game.
The list of possible status effects is HERE.
â You may also notice that (temporary) full amnesia is a possible status effect for this game.

Flower Status Effects
Dec. 23rd, 2019 09:31 pm- Whenever a flower is burned on the blue flame pyre, everyone with that flower as a key has an essential part of themselves broken/destroyed. They temporarily catch fire along with the flower, then experience one of the two status effects listed. (The choice is OOC, not IC.)
Idols who lose both flowers experience death of the self: they experience (temporary) full amnesia, and are wreathed in blue flame. This status overrides other flower statuses.
(All âdeathsâ will be healed at the end of the game; however, the losers will continue to experience status effects for all lost keys, which will mean two effects for those who âdied.â)

Flower Keys
Dec. 23rd, 2019 09:18 pmEach character has exactly two "keys" which represent their true self. It's player discretion whether "true" means who the character would be in "canon"/in their home world, or who they have become in Imeeji; go with whatever feels right or would be most fun for you!

ViewScream: How to Play
Jun. 21st, 2019 03:29 am"No but really, Degen, those are so many rules."
I know, I'm really very sorry.
Here's what to actually do:
How to Play ViewScream for Imeeji
Hadassah will remain ICly available to talk to throughout the entirety of the game, if for some reason you want to vidchat with her.
Probably more usefully, I myself will be on hand to help you through anything you find confusing. As a reminder, my discord is Menuha#5889 if you need to ask something privately.

How to Play ViewScream for Imeeji
- You need to talk to a lot of people, so use the BRIDGE toplevel to make whatever threads you need that aren't discussions with your own unit. (Rule 1 has the details.)
- You'll want to find out:
- What units need your help
- What units can help you
- If possible, what the unit you're paired with (shared Role) is doing, so that you don't accidentally double up helping the same people.
- Negotiate with other units as honestly or dishonestly as you want. (Remember #game-channel is around on Discord if you need to ping a unit with a BRIDGE thread.)
- Distribute your solutions to as many or as few different units as your hearts desire. Or keep them all for yourselves to give your own unit a leg up, you jerks.
The Rules outline the advantages and disadvantages of the options available to youâand your character gets to intuitively know that stuff too.
...Your character also intuitively knows "XOXO, Your Host." You're welcome. - Turn-in will ask your unit for the following for each of your solutions:
- Which unit that solution is going to; and,
- a one-sentence description of how the tech works to solve the unit's problemâeven if it's a mismatch solution to the actual problem. (Technobabble or utter shitpost are equally acceptable.) This is purely for fun.

ViewScream: RULES
Jun. 20th, 2019 09:08 pmHow to Play
All rules are instinctively known by participating characters.
All rules are instinctively known by participating characters.
- Despite being all on the same vessel, units are separated from one another, able to communicate only remotely via the vid panels in their rooms, represented by posting in the BRIDGE thread.
- Think of BRIDGE communications like non-secure radio channels (except video chat instead): Units can contact each other for one-on-one (or rather unit-on-unit) conversationsârepresented by making an appropriate toplevel (e.g. "AlcheME! to âZRAEL")âbut there is technically nothing stopping someone else from tuning in. That applies to would-be eavesdroppers too, though: they can't hide their presence, so you'll always notice as soon as they try to "spy."
It's also fine to make "open to anyone" posts for your unit in BRIDGE (e.g. "LiliS to ALL"). - OOC Note: If youâeven OOClyâwant to read a BRIDGE thread not open to your character's unit, remember that your character is visibly present in the conversation and will automatically show in the video chat participants panel, just like on Google Hangouts, etc. As such, you must make a post like "[here]" to represent this to other players. You're on the honor system for this; please make me proud.

- Powers are off for this game.
- ...Instead, characters gain an instinctive, if rather shit, understanding of their Role for the duration of game: enough to operate the technology they have on hand with a TV actor degree of understanding. How is your Red Matter Inhibitor Coil going to help bring the Modular Reflex Couplers back online? The audience sure would love to know! Technobabble optional but encouraged.
- Each unit will be presented with three Problems. Each Problem is potentially lethal if allowed to go unsolved.
- 3 out of 3 problems solved: survive unharmed
- 2 out of 3 problems solved: terrible injury
- 2 or more problems unsolved: messy death
- Each unit also has three Solutions; however, as THEMiS is breaking down, one of your solutions is randomly assigned as broken. There is no way to determine which of your Solutions is broken ahead of time.
- When providing a Solution, the piece of tech you choose has no impact on its effectiveness.
(OOC: that is, tech names are for flavor/techno-babble purposes only.)
The only thing that matters is that your unit has the correct Role to helpâand that you havenât unluckily chosen a broken solution. - Each Solution can only be used once; however, they can be given awayâor keptâin any combination you desire. In fact, each unit will find that there are 6 other units who need the help of either themselves, or the other unit with their same Role.
- The important implication of this is thatâwith 6 problems each Role needs to solve, but only 4 working solutionsâit is impossible for every unit to survive unscathed.
- âWhy wouldnât we just distribute our solutions evenly and hope for the best?â Thanks for asking!
- First, because you do not and cannot know which solutions are broken, randomly assigning them very much so still carries the risk of units being left with 2 or more problems unsolved. I mean, you can still absolutely do this; the point is that there are clear drawbacks.
- Second, and key to the game's strategy:
Two âwrongâ (but working) solutions can be jury-rigged into a single âcorrectâ working solution, creating the potential to solve a problem that otherwise would have gone unsolved. (This is just as true for your unit's own tech, though you may not want to be so selfish for reasons explained in Rule 9.)- For example, if Helm Team 1 has a Xenobiology problem that went unsolved, but has an extra working solution from both Engineering and Psionics, those two extra solutions will be automatically counted as solving Helm Team 1's unsolved Xeno problem.
- Taking into account the 1-in-3 chance of a solution being broken + the âtwo wrongs make a rightâ rule, you may choose to provide 1, 2, or all 3 of your solutions to a unit youâre assisting (...including your own unit).
When helping a unit who needs you, providing two solutions of course guarantees success (by eliminating any chance of failure), while providing all three not only guarantees success, but also guarantees you help that unit towards having an extra out for an unsolved Problem.
Are you willing to sacrifice one unit to better protect another? Or will you not help anyone in order to try to save yourself? - "Why wouldn't we just keep everything for ourselves?" Thanks for asking!
- Firstly, if every unit plays that way, every single unit will only be able to solve one of their problems (2 "wrong" working solutions = 1 out of 3 problems solved), meaning everyone will die.
So, you know, the less of that sort of thing the better, right? - Secondly, should any unit play completely selfishly, they will corrupt the entire game, and idols on those units most thoroughly destroyed will never be the same again.
- Firstly, if every unit plays that way, every single unit will only be able to solve one of their problems (2 "wrong" working solutions = 1 out of 3 problems solved), meaning everyone will die.
- Winners will receive a full, scar-free heal if applicable. Do your best to survive!

Imeeji: ViewScream RSVP
Jun. 20th, 2019 04:16 pmHi Imeeji!
It's Degen, and did you know that's my irl name, and any time anyone online addresses me by it I have a split second how did you know my name reaction?
More to the point, this Saturday, June 22 from 10:00am PST - 2:00pm PST I will be running a space horror-themed trauma game called ViewScream.
In order for the game to function mechanically, it needs at least one representative from every unit available from game start, hence this post: before committing to running the game, I want to confirm that I've got enough players to make things work.
âPeople can absolutely still come late, by the way! I just need at least one person to be able to speak for each unit the whole way through.
What to Expect

What to Expect
- This will be a single-round game in which characters will have to carefully negotiate with other teams to coordinate the distribution of life-saving resources. It's scheduled with one more hour than usual to give people more time to play this out ICly, and also because, as this is a brand-new game, I'm building in some extra time for answering questions.
- Death scenarios in this game come with warnings for gore and body horror. Things that will not feature are damage to eyes, teeth, or finger/nails, any sexual content, or images beyond pictures for the rooms. I will warn for specific content in the subject line of these death posts, and do my best to accommodate individual needs, but please do not hesitate to sit this one out if you think it won't be fun for you.
- Permanent corruption effects are a possible consequence of this game for teams that lose especially badly.
